Information for New Group Members

Register for a new Scifinder account by clicking on the link. The directions will guide you through an MU account set up.	Dr. Allen will email you an invitation to join the Quartzy Group Inventory website. Follow directions to register for Quartzy.	Purchase a carbonless lab notebook (the type with top page perforated) for use in lab. This remains in lab ALL THE TIME. Fill in your name and keep a table of contents regularly updated. This book can be purchased at the bookstore. Dr. Allen will supply lab glasses.
Book research time with Dr. Allen. Try to select regular hours each week and stick to a schedule. Consult the group calendar before booking research hours.	Review the syllabus and ensure that you are aware of grant due dates, assignment due dates and Dr. Allen's Fall Schedule.
